Continuing our regular feature introducing Advo people, this month we hear from Kevin Crew, Advo’s long serving IT Director. Kevin has had a successful career with Advo driving forward our online platforms and presence.

“After beginning my career in banking, I transitioned into IT project management within the financial sector, working with several major institutions including Barclays, UBS, and Citi. My focus was on data centre provisioning, build management, and infrastructure development.

An opportunity then arose to move into web development, a decision that proved to be a defining and rewarding shift in my career.

I joined the Advo family (then known as Health Decisions) in 2001, where I played a key role in developing the company’s internal CRM system and the award-winning online portal Clarity, recognised for its innovation and impact within the SME marketplace.

Since then, I have been deeply involved in Advo’s ongoing IT evolution, overseeing projects ranging from infrastructure improvements to the design and deployment of new internal and client-facing applications. I also successfully led the implementation of ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials accreditation.

Today, I manage a small, highly skilled IT team responsible for advancing and supporting Advo’s technology strategy across HR and Payroll services.
