Advo acquires Mustard Payroll confirming a commitment, following divestment of its employee benefit business in July, to place Payroll and HR as the core of the business.
Advo One Limited, the HR and Payroll consultancy has completed a deal to buy the Kent based Payroll Bureau, Mustard Payroll Limited, for an undisclosed sum.
The deal is the first of planned acquisitions to establish Advo as one of the UK’s premier HR and payroll companies. Mustard and Advo have a long established working relationship with Mustard Payroll using Advo’s BACS services for their clients.
Mustard Payroll was established in 2000 and process the payrolls of hundreds of employers and charities in the UK, a business built on recommendations from accountants and clients. They have an excellent reputation for client service that aligns with the Advo client centric approach. Mustard Payroll staff will be retained and Director, Emma Barnes, will remain within the business to help with integration.
Advo has its own payroll software that is recognised by HMRC and BACS approved, and also delivers payroll processing across a number of software packages.
Advo’s HR service provides clients all the protections and advantages of having an in-house human resources team.
Under the terms of the acquisition, Mustard Payroll will become part of Advo One’s payroll division with their clients now having access to wider essential services including technology platforms and HR support.
Commenting on the acquisition, Larry Bulmer, Advo’s CEO said “We have been working with Mustard for a number of years as one of our BACS clients and so we know each other well. Their expertise and wide range of clients and contacts will be a strong addition to Advo and are delighted to welcome their clients and staff.”
Alison Gill, Advo’s HR & Payroll Director also commented “Mustard Payroll are highly respected with an experienced team and a strong reputation for service. We are looking forward to getting to know our new staff and working with their clients. We have a great team here with fantastic synergy with Mustard.”
Emma Barnes, Mustard Payroll’s Director commented “We are all very excited by this new opportunity, which will benefit our clients giving them access to the same support as before while offering our clients wider services. We see this as a great fit between our two organisations.”
