At Advo we have a team of dedicated Payroll Advisors. But what is it they enjoy most about their chosen career, what gives them job satisfaction, in essence, what makes them tick?

“Like most payrollers I fell into this career, and it was the best decision I made. After 11 years in payroll, I have realised every day is a school day. I love the buzz of client payroll and the variety that comes with it. I enjoy the more complex queries where you must really think about calculations. Tax is my favourite, but I still enjoy a pension or NI manual calculation.”

There have been so many changes in that time – the statutory environment has got so complex and you definitely need to understand employment law”
